Express-ing Support for UPS 09!
Leading weekly newspaper, The Sunday Express, has signed up as the national media partner for the Ultimate Pet Show 2009. Renowned for its pet related stories, the Sunday Express has teamed up with UPS 09 to celebrate the nation's love of animals. As part of the partnership, The Sunday Express will be reporting on the exciting features and activities at the show, including agility displays, meet the pet areas, celebrity appearances and the topical and entertaining seminars taking place on the Jollyes Lifestage at the show.
Announcing the relationship, Nicole Cooper, Show Director of the Ultimate Pet Show said "We are really excited to have such a prestigious national paper as our media partner. This is brilliant news for the Ultimate Pet Show and it will be thrilling to see coverage about the show in the paper! We're sure that readers of the Sunday Express will enjoy hearing about all that's on offer for pet lovers of all kinds of pets at the NEC this May!"
Petplan, the largest provider of animal health insurance in the world, has joined the growing list of Ultimate Pet Show feature sponsors. Established more than 30 years ago, Petplan is part of Allianz Insurance, one of the largest general insurers in the UK. Petplan is sponsoring the Animal Action feature area at UPS 09, where show activities will include agility demonstrations, grooming displays, kiddykhana competitions and lots more exciting live action!
Other feature sponsors at UPS 09 include Jollyes Petfood Superstores who are sponsoring the main seminar and events stage at the show (the Jollyes Lifestage), James Wellbeloved who is sponsoring the show café (the James Wellbeloved Naturally Healthy Café) and Mr Johnson's (rabbit and small pet foods) who is sponsoring the Meet the Pets area.
The UPS 09 visitor ticket hotline is now live and such is the excitement amongst British pet lovers about the show that tickets are already being purchased, before the main promotional campaign for the event has even been launched! Over 300,000 visitor leaflets will be in circulation over the next few weeks and the extensive visitor campaign also features billboards and posters, national, regional and consumer press promotion including Heart FM and the Trinity Media Group, and of course promotion via the event's sponsors and supporters (including leading pet care charities, PDSA, the Dogs Trust, the Blue Cross who are charity feature partners at the event).
The campaign also includes promotion by the NEC itself to visitors of other relevant events held there. "Being at the NEC gives us a great opportunity to promote the Ultimate Pet Show to visitors who attend other pet related and family orientated events at the venue. We have an extensive marketing plan in place ready to kick off fully next month - the NEC is such an accessible venue, we're looking forward to spreading the word about UPS 09 to pet lovers far and wide!" said Nicole Cooper.
A Star Sponsorship Opportunity
A nationwide search to find "Britain's Most Talented Pet" is just one of the many exciting activities taking place alongside the Ultimate Pet Show 09.Dogs that dance, horses that sing and piano-playing pussycats will have the chance to showcase their unique talents with a group of finalists, pets with real star quality, appearing on the Jollyes Lifestage at the show on Monday 4th May. Their pet-tastic skills will be judged by a special panel of industry experts, including TV vet and founder of thepet.net Marc Abraham and a celebrity judge. The winner will be crowned with the prestigious title of "Britain's Most Talented Pet"!
